KAMPALA, UGANDA — The Redeemed Christian Church of God
(RCCG) Dominion Sanctuary Kanyanya has reported a resounding success following
its recent Children's Crusade and Community Outreach, which drew approximately
700 attendees and resulted in 91 children committing their lives to Jesus
Christ.
The event, held at the church's premises on Plot 1612 Nkuubi
Street in Kanyanya, transformed the usually quiet neighborhood into a vibrant
hub of worship, celebration, and community engagement. The crusade was
strategically designed to bring children and families to Christ through a
dynamic program that made the Gospel clear and engaging for young minds.
A Celebration of
Faith and Community
The atmosphere was electric as a creative brass band marched
through the streets, creating a stir of curiosity and excitement that drew
families from across the community. "The inclusion of a creative brass
band was a strategic approach for a community-focused crusade," organizers
noted. "Its impact was far beyond just providing music; it was a powerful
tool for mobilization and success."
The sound of the band became a beacon, cutting through the
noise of daily life and mobilizing people—especially children and families—to
follow the music to its source.
Numbers That Tell a Story
According to the impact report, the crusade achieved
remarkable milestones:
91 children made first-time commitments to Christ
Approximately 400 children from the community attended
The church auditorium was filled to capacity with adult
participants
Total attendance across all activities reached an estimated
700 people
"The Lord has given us this community again,"
declared church leadership in their post-event report.
Beyond the Spiritual Impact
The outreach extended far beyond spiritual goals. The church
reported significant community engagement, with bouncing castles, music, dance,
and football matches creating a family-friendly atmosphere that strengthened
the church's reputation as a community-focused institution.
"We achieved the mission to bring the children and
families to Jesus through a dynamic crusade that makes the Gospel clear and
engaging for kids, paired with a compassionate outreach that serves the
practical and spiritual needs of our community, all for the glory of God,"
the report stated.
A United Effort
Church leadership emphasized that the success was made
possible by an "army of volunteers," including teams from Jesus Kids
and Christian in Action, alongside dedicated church members. Special
recognition was given to Pastoral Leadership led by Pr Tusubira, Pr. Elim,
Deacon Stella, and Deacon Dorothy, with Deacon Mama Zam serving as Team Leader.
Looking Forward: A Foundation for Growth
Church leaders view the crusade not as an endpoint but as a
starting point for sustained community engagement.
"This crusade was a milestone," the report
declared. "It proved our church's potential to impact our community
meaningfully and has given us a blueprint, the momentum, and the faith to
pursue even greater things for God's kingdom."
Plans are already underway for quarterly community outreach
events to maintain momentum and nurture the new relationships formed during the
crusade.
A Call to Action
The church is now calling on believers to invest in programs
that bring life to the church, particularly in creative music and youth
ministries. "The crusade highlighted the immense need and opportunity in
ministering to the next generation," leaders noted.
Following 1 Corinthians 15:58, church leadership urged members
to "stand firm" and "give yourselves fully to the work of the
Lord," emphasizing that their labor in the Lord is not in vain.
