ENTEBBE, Uganda – August 20, 2026 – Internationally renowned evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna C. Osborn has arrived in Uganda to attend the consecration of Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, daughter of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni.

Bishop Osborn landed at Entebbe International Airport on August 17 and was received by Pastor Patience Rwabwogo and Bishop Joshua Lwere. Her visit culminates in the consecration ceremony scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Covenant Nations Church in Luzira, which will also mark the church’s 20th anniversary.

On August 19, President Museveni and the First Lady hosted Bishop Osborn at State House Entebbe. The meeting reflected on Uganda’s transformation, the nation’s spiritual heritage, and the long-standing ties between the Osborn family and Uganda.

Bishop Osborn, who described herself as a friend of Uganda, recalled her first visit to the country in 1985 alongside her late mother, renowned evangelist Dr. Daisy Osborn. They had come to prepare for a major crusade at Lugogo, at a time when Uganda was still reeling from years of conflict. Looking at the nation today, she commended the remarkable progress in peace, education, healthcare, and freedom of worship.

Speaking about Pastor Patience, Bishop Osborn praised her deep relationship with God and her dedication to ministry. Encouraging her to stay focused amid challenges, she quoted Nehemiah’s response to his distractors: “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.”

President Museveni welcomed Bishop Osborn back to Uganda and extended his best wishes for Pastor Patience’s upcoming consecration.

Bishop Osborn is scheduled to minister at a “Passing the Torch” conference on August 20 at the City of David in Luzira, ahead of the main consecration service on August 23. Her visit continues a spiritual legacy that has connected her family with Uganda for more than four decades.
